January 21, 2023: Our first Pillar event of the year focused on Business. Texas Leadership Summit stands for faith while building for the future. We believe you are a leader, and by using your faith where you are, you can impact the world around you. Specifically, we will focus on three key components at this Pillar event: Kingdom Principles, Local Outreach Impact, and Stewardship.

February 18- The WCRW are gathering with church leaders in our community for a much-needed peaceful prayer vigil in downtown Brenham, February 18th, in response to the event that will transpire on Baylor Street. We are meeting at 9 am in the parking lot next to Ant Street Inn. Please continue to check the website and Facebook for updates.
February 22-This month our freedom night will be held at Pizzaiolo’s in Brenham. They are generously donating 10 percent of all proceeds to the Washington County Republican Women! Please come and support the ladies as we work to keep Texas Red!

March 6th: EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENT! Jennifer McWilliams, one of the country's leading experts in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), will be joining us to speak at our March meeting! WCRW will meet Monday, March 6th at the Cannery Kitchen. Come at 11:30 for lunch ($15), at 11:45 we will vote on bylaw changes, swear in new officers while lunch is finishing, and the speaker will start at noon. Representatives from Texas Church Leaders will be present to answer questions and support us in learning about the dangers of SEL. Reservations are required for both the meeting and lunch. April 1st-Join the WCRW as we host an important school board forum at the Kenjura Tile, Inc meeting room located at 1004 N. Park Street. Candidates will be given 5 minutes to tell the public about themselves and why they are running for school board followed by questions from the audience. Donuts and Coffee will be provided. Caring For America
June 14th
Drop-Off Cannery Kitchen
The WCRW will be participating in a Caring for America event on June 14th. We are asking our members to please deliver homemade baked goods to the Cannery Kitchen by 10 am. If you would like to help deliver them to our first responders, please arrive at the Cannery at 10 am to pick up some goodies. Please wear your WCRW shirt. The WCRW will be having their annual luncheon “Celebrate Women” July 12th from 11:30-1:00 p.m. at The Cannery Kitchen featuring Carolyn Matejewski for a fun and uplifting message for all who attend. Tickets are $50.00 and each member is being asked to buy one ticket and sell a ticket. If you need more tickets, please contact wcrwinfo@gmail.com. The funds from this event will go to pay for ads, push cards, posters, mailers, and activities planned for the 2024 election cycle and any help is appreciated!

WCRW Monthly Meeting January 8th
Aubree Campbell will be speaking to the WCRW on election integrity and voter registration. Her bio explains she will “encourage and educate moms on how to get involved, she can provide training that will be necessary to affect change at the local and state levels. She will provide guidance in getting involved, so other patriots can help us gain momentum for the redress our election system needs.” Please note this meeting is on January 8th the second Monday of January and it is at Kenjura Tile Training Center.

Feb 10
A forum for the Texas House District 12 Republican candidates to introduce themselves and answer questions prior to the March primary will be held on Saturday, Feb 10, at the Kenjura Tile Training Center in Brenham. Coffee and donuts will be available from 9:30 to 10 am, with the candidates present to meet and greet. The question/answer session will begin at 10 am. The forum will end at noon. As soon as information about other candidates is known, we will update this post. All candidates have agreed to attend.

WCRW Ladies Luncheon

WCRW Luncheon/meeting, “Texans for America”, will feature State Senator Lois Kolkhorst as our speaker. Senator Kolkhorst is a proven conservative Republican who has successfully worked for increasing education funding and teacher pay, lowering property tax rates, improving access to healthcare for all Texans, supporting first responders, eliminating job killing regulations, and preserving state parks and historic sites and much more. She has fought aggressive property appraisals, and devotedly backed our men and women in blue. The luncheon will be at the Ant Street Inn Ballroom, at 11:30 am. Tickets are $40 for members of WCRW, and $50 for guests.

September 3rd Monthly Meeting
Sonya Aston is an election law expert with over 17 years of direct experience in voter registration and election administration. She has trained election judges, poll workers and poll watchers on election law and election process for over thirteen years.

TRUMP TRAIN- The Washington County Republican Women and Republican Party will be having a flag and sign waving Rally at the Courthouse Gazebo. The Trump Train will line up at 5315 Main St. in Chappell Hill at 9 AM and will depart at 10 AM. There will be routes that will end up in downtown Brenham where there will be a Rally at the Gazebo by the Courthouse!
Speaker Becky is a known leader who works well with industry and government officials to assure the best economic results for everyone she represents. Becky Burger will be speaking about Israel and the events of October 7th, 2023.
We will need volunteers to help at1400 South Day Street, Brenham, Texas 77833. We will be passing out signs and flyers to vehicles as they pass by the location. Please contact Rockie Rexroad to help at WCRWinfo@gmail.com
Washington County Republican Party will be having our biennium Reagan Dinner and hope you will "Save the Date" Dr. Carol Swain will be our keynote speaker! Senator Lois Kolkhorst will be our Emcee and Skipper Dippel will also be speaking, so plan on coming and enjoying a steak dinner from Leona General store. We will have a live and silent auction.
